ITINERARY DETAILS : Trek to OURIKA and IMLIL valley 8 days

Day1: arrival at Marrakechnight in the city in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Marrakech – Sefi Fadma – Timichi

transfer to Ourika valley in the high atlas mountains.  After Setti Fatma we arrive Agadir Nait Boulman; meet our group muleteer and start our hiking trip towards TIMISHI where we spend our night in a local gite.

Day3: Timichi – Tachdirt

after we break our fast we head up to the TACHDIRT pass at 3172m. on the pass we have a lovely break and catch our breath then a smooth and gentle descent to TACHDIRT village(2250m).overnight in local gite our in berber family’ house.

Day4: Tachdirt – ImiOughlad

after breakfast, we start our journey down the IMNAN valley. Here we pass by many berber villages and meet people living there. A tea within a berber house is preferable. Then we continue to ARG and stop for lunch. Afterward we get to AMSKER and head up to LEBOUR pass(1500m). From here we head down to IMI OUGHLAD(1400m) to overnight.

Day5: ImiOughlad – AitAissa

we pack our luggage and have our breakfast; the little path waves the oak forest takes us up to the small TACHET pass(2000m). Wonderful landscape of KIK plateau and the HOUZ plain emerged before us. When we arrive Azzaden valley, Our gite today is in the village of AIT AISSA (1700m).

Day6: AitAissa -Tamsoult

We leave the village and go up to the Azib Tamsoult (2250m).the important activity in this valley is semi-nomadism and cultivations. If time allows, we take an easy mount to Imouzzar n Ighouliden (waterfalls)(2400m). We come back down to the nelter.

Day7: Tamsoult – Imlil Marrakech

on a set time, we start our day walking up to TIZI MZIK (2489m).  The way takes us along cedar forest. On the pass our eyes are grasped by the fascinating view over Imlil village and MIZAN valley. We enjoy our lastlunch with the team down the pass.after lunch we drive back to MARRAKECH;

Day8: Transfer to MINARA airport

  • 3 to 4 season sleeping bag ( winter) or light Sleeping bag ( Summer)
  • Day sack/backpack
  • Head torch / headlamp
  • Lightweight waterproof over-trousers / rain-pants
  • Water bottle or camel back

  • English speaking Guide & cook
